TOS LATHE CHUCKS
The body of the TOS Chuck is manufactured from a single piece of high strength spherodial graphite cast iron of a minimum
tensile strength of 45 Kp/sq.mm. (450Mpa).Internal and External Jaws, and Gear Pinions are of High Grade Alloy Steel and are case hardened and tempered.
TOS 3 and 4 Jaw Self Centring Lathe Chucks - Standard Precision - have a gripping run-out of 0.05-0.13mm (0.002"-0.005") for chucks of 80-400mm (3.15"-15.75") depending on the size of the Chuck.Hardened and ground steel guide keys, inserted into the body of the Chuck on sizes 160-400mm for guiding the clamping jaws, increase the life and accuracy of the Chuck by substantially reducing wear.
High maximum operating speeds ensure improved safety at lower speeds.
TOS IUS Lathe Chucks are Rear Mounted with the Adaptor Recess to TOS own specifications.
TOS IUG Lathe Chucks can be Front Mounted or Rear Mounted. The Adaptor Recess is to Din 6350.
